I so agree moving out can be difficult and adjusting within the community is another hurdle. Thanks a lot Clarissa for taking time out to share your experience, with time it will get easier hopefully!

I’m sorry you’re feeling so down! Moving can be so, so, stressful on it’s own – let alone the feeling that you don’t have a good grip on the new place. When I moved to Colorado from Florida (granted, I didn’t have to learn a new language) – I found that the easiest way to transition is to pretend you’re on vacation – play tourist – get excited about places nearby and things to do.

I missed the beach terribly but I had to get excited about what Colorado had to offer – I planned day trips to nearby cities, planned nights downtown for restaurants that sounded great, looked up popular tourist attractions etc., to discover what made this place so special 🙂
