You have damages to your personal automobile

If following any manoeuvres your vehicle resulted damaged, you can appeal to the CASCO policy for compensations of the service repairs.

1) Check damages
Check what parts were damaged and what the cause of this event was. In the case that the damages occurred while the car was parked (theft or vandalism), it is recommended to go to the nearest police section as quick as possible.

2) Damage ascertainment by FORTE
Fill in the accident protocol and file the damage claim together with the ECLAIMS claim adjuster.


3) Service Repair
After completing the ascertainment, you can have your automobile repaired at one of the adequate repair workshops, based on the ascertainment from ECLAIMS.


4) Offset
The offset is realized based on a claim and the documents that certify the completion of service repairs: invoice, proof of payment (receipt, PO), device.

Road event resolved through amicable settlement

If following a road event only the vehicles involved resulted damaged, with no bodily injuries, then this can be resolved by filling in the amicable settlement form. Here is how you can proceed in this case:


1) Amicable agreement

Run the amicable ascertainment. It is important to know that this method can only be selected if both of the traffic participants give their consent. We recommend you not to tamper with the damaged areas, since the details of the damages will be important in ascertaining the damage. 2) Damage ascertainment by FORTE

Road event resolved by Police through Protocol

If following a traffic event several vehicles involved were damaged or there are bodily injuries, then this can be settled by one of the Police units with jurisdiction. Hereinafter you can see how to proceed in such a case:


1) Event ascertainment at the Police

In the case that the traffic event resulted in casualties, or it cannot be resolved by amicable settlement, you can appeal to the classic method of calling the police regarding the accident. Obtaining the official documents from the police presupposes signing the protocol and, if applicable, obtaining a service repair authorization.


We recommend you not to tamper with the damaged areas, since the details of the damages will be important in ascertaining the damage. In the shortest time possible, try to go to a FORTE ascertainment unit.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Mandatory

  • CASCO policy in copy
  • Vehicle registration certificate in copy
  • Declarant’s ID card in copy
  • Accident protocol 


As appropriate

  • Copy of the driving license of the vehicle’s driver at the date of the event – if the automobile was in motion at the time the event occurred.
  • Power of attorney from the owner if this is a Legal Person.
  • Protocol and Service Repair Authorization in original – for all events wherein the insured vehicles was involved, except those for which an “amicable settlement” was reached, acts of vandalism of any kind (key scratches, acid etching, etc.), grand or petty theft.
  • Proof in original – for all acts of vandalism (key scratches, acid etching, etc.), grand or petty theft.
  • Amicable Settlement Form – if the event was settled through agreement of the parties and there were involved two vehicles, resulting in no human injury.
