How to make a modern copper speckled clock almost inspired of Pantone's color of the year, 2017 by making a custom green shade yourself.Just 3 day ago, Pantone released Greenery as the color of the year 2017. And if you had been following my Instagram stories you would have come to know about this project as I shared a sneak peek to the green I hade created mixing yellow with blue. I was more so inspired of the color sage after reading this post at Decor8 and here we are. And guess what, I almost predicted Pantone’s color of the year, 2017 had I used more of yellow than blue in my mixture.

Now, despite having multitudes of devices on hand it’s nice to have a wall clock to know what time it is. As all one needs is a pair of eyes to roll in the right direction ( frees you from the shackles of your phone for a change ) Most Modern clocks come in eye-catching designs but they sure can be expensive. Why buy one when you can make it from scratch with materials easily found at your craft store. It sure makes for a great statement piece that reflects your personal style

I have placed mine right above my desk, it comes handy to remind me of lunch time as the workaholic me can sometimes overlook her very self. 5.The glue being quite thick, we can only speckle by drawing with a thin bristle brush. Draw an uneven circle and droplets all throughout the board with your glue. You can use a speckled object as a guide or an image from Pinterest. It should take 1-2 hour for all of the glue on the surface to turn tacky. Doing them bit by bit will make the task easier. How to make a modern copper speckled clock almost inspired of Pantone's color of the year, 2017 by making a custom green shade yourself.

7. Wipe a wet cloth over the back of the clock movement, apply some gorilla glue and stick it on the chopping board. The clock handles in black were not a good match to our newly painted and foiled chopping board. So, I sought to paint them in dark green. Install the handles and let the glue to expand and dry before use. Pop in a battery and hang your new modern clock on a wall.
