Whether you are into mocktails or smoothies. Drink stirrers are a must. Especially if you want to avoid sipping the watered down version of your drink. Besides they make for a cute addition to a boring lemonade per say. Making your gathering better put together and intimate. As part of a collaboration with Darby Smart, I made these copper bunny drink stirrers in less than 15 minutes.
- Copper wire 18 gauge
- Bamboo skewers
- Set of Pliers
You can catch the video here for detailed steps
Cut about 6′ inches of copper wire. With the help of your rosary pliers bend along the 2 1/2 inch point into a bunny ear. At point 6 1/2 inch bend yet again for the second of the pair of ears. Tighten the ears by twisting the shorter end of the loose wire onto the center. Next, pick up a clean bamboo skewer and position your bunny ear on the top of the skewer such that the long tail is adjacent to it. Begin to twist the loose wire close to the tip of the skewer shut.
Repeat the steps to make your own stock of copper bunny ears drink stirrers for less than $10. Perfect for any given gathering. Actually, I am afraid I will use them up way before any given event.
