As soon as I set a foot in May, I switched into a celebration mood as it not only takes me back to a year ago when I was bursting with excitement and apprehensive at the same time when I launched my blog but some other sweet memories from early days. I feel quite blessed to have embarked on this beautiful journey and have reached 20k followers at Instagram in only 6 months ( more on that some other day ) So that should be a good enough reason to have celebrated earlier on with this cake. And as our internet tradition states, special occasions often require special DIYs. How could I’ve not made a modern cake stand from a planter?
You’ve probably spotted this pink planter many times at my blog, my favourite you see. Now, I will have to get another one because I made a cake stand out of it. Don’t worry, IKEA has got our back and now that you’ve saved your money from getting an expensive cake stand you can splurge that money to make your cake the double or even triple size you usually have, cheers to that!
I think I really need to try my hands onto some kitchen related DIYs at least this new found commitment will force me to bake pancakes, cakes and somebody real food and then maybe I could survive a day without takeouts or my mum.
