As you may have taken notice that I spruced up my workspace a little for a positive change. I felt it was lacking the colorful vibe that I am all about. And you know, anything easy and cool is right up my alley. I have literally emulated a terrazzo tile with polymer clay and decorated a plain vase with terrazzo before which of course was a while ago. Needless to say, I had been missing it in on an action. Not that I needed a big excuse to get painting anyways. And we have all the cheerful paints squeezed in a row and up on a jar. That’s mainly what I did! May I say, I am loving the terrazzo trend taking the decor industry by it’s beauty (much easier to put it to practice than it was for marbling)
Enough of me, getting my thoughts out on terrazzo. Let’s jump right into this child’s play. not literally!
Materials:
- Acrylic Paints
- Brush
- White Spray paint
- Jar
Steps:
1. Firstly, make sure your jar is nice & clean. Take it to an open area and begin to paint it white with your spray paint (skip this step if you have a white jar at your disposal )
2. Now that paint on the jar has dried. You may go ahead and squeeze some paint on a plate. And with the help of a thin brush draw random shapes close to what a terrazzo would look like one color at a time. There are many terrazzo images on Pinterest that you can take help as inspiration for the colors you want to try. With it being completely random, there is no way you can get it wrong
And now all you got to do is fill in your terrazzo pencil holder with your favorite stationary and get to work.
